glasraam sint-martinuskerk

St Martin's Church is an important example of Neo-Gothic architecture. The church dates from 1896 and was designed by the famous architect Modest De Noyette. The church was built at a time when the city was expanding due to the success of the textile industry. The stained-glass windows are striking. They depict various Bible scenes and are among the loveliest of their kind.
